Hey Y'all! My name is Brittany, a modern southern gal with a little sass! Growing up, I was always the girl with crayons, colored pencils, or paint in hand. I continued my creative journey at Auburn University and graduated with a degree in Interior Design. I was fortunate enough to work with several high-end residential firms before starting my own interior design business in 2011.  I enjoyed helping clients add a little "love" to their house and transforming that house into a home.  However, nothing teaches you about house and home quite like tackling a renovation project of your own!  In 2012 I purchased my first home; and with the help of my family, I have taken a neighborhood eye sore to the shining star on the street!  House Plus Love is where a share about this crazy journey and the tips and tricks I have learned along the way! We are a source to help you add a little love to your home!

Today, I live in the sweet coastal town of Mobile, Alabama, while creating and producing the House Plus Love shop's treasures and sharing my home journey and musings at House Plus Love's blog!  When I am not creating, I can be found snuggling with my golden retriever, Lucy, and relaxing by the shore.

My House Plus Love Story...

As a young twenty-something, taking on a complete house overhaul seems crazy! But that is just what I did and I was up for the challenge!  As fate would have it, I stumbled across this house while headed to brunch with friends.  I was not in the market for a home at the time, but this house was calling my name, and boy was it screaming!  After an intense bidding process, the house was mine!  Then began the journey of taking the condemned and vandalized house and turning it into the house of my dreams...a home! It took a lot of blood, sweat, tears, help, hair pulling out, and paint...but it was well worth this journey! It truly was a labor of love!  I hope that by me sharing my journey, I can inspire you to add a little love to your house too!
